EssentialThe manager responsible for supervising an officer’s work and providing performance feedback and assessment under the agency’s appraisal arrangements.
Example: Your RO reviews your work and development; it is not a live reporting dashboard.

A widely used Civil Service scheme of service covering many policy, administration and management roles.
Example: “She’s an MX officer” usually tells you the scheme of service, not her exact job title.
